68 Charger owned by my Dad!

I have no info to go off other than a few photos. I want to locate my Dad's old 68' Charger.

I know it can be done but I'm looking for help in any resources people can offer.

It was sold in California around 1970 or 71....His name was Jerry Barnes and I believe in was in So. Cal....

Thanks for any help guys!

Will be hard to locate a car without more info.

You need to find out the VIN number and run to the DMV and beg them to search it... Then maybe you can track it down.

Just curious: Are you wanting to find the car for your Dad, or you?

I can't really help you much, but especially if finding the car is for your Dad, I totally understand the emotions in what you're trying to do. I suggest you watch the video at this link http://www.wimp.com/dadscar that is a short story about tracking down an old car for one's Dad.

I did something similar in '08 where I found an exact duplicate of a '68 Dodge Polara 500, 4-door, blue (in excellent original condition -- it's pictured in my signature below), that my wife's deceased father owned as his last car when he passed-away in '68. You should have seen the emotions my wife went through when I presented the car to her on the 40th anniversary of her dad's death, parked in exactly the same place in a driveway that the original car sat in 40 years earlier.

Cost of Polara: $2,500
Cost of shipment: $1,200
Seeing the look of sheer joy, sadness and appreciation on your wife's face: Priceless!

I really hope you manage to pull it off, man!
