I know the 413 was discontinued for cars in 65 but it still remained in use in trucks/ rvs for quite a while after. Does anyone know if there are and interchangeability issues with normal RB (440, 383) and a 71 413 Wedge motor? I assumed it would be fine with a quick piston change and head work but i have also been told that because of some difference in the water passage jacketing that they could not accept 440 heads/ intakes etc (which is important to the build). Does anyone know if this is true or is it more internet tomfoolery? Sorry to ask another question so soon i just cannot find a clear answer anywhere. thanks again guys.

i know of 440's from motorhome's that can take new heads and older one's, so i would guess that the 413 would be the same
