Question 71 Valiant --> need help/measurements from owners

Hi guys

My name is Kevin and I have just registered here. I´m a scale modeler from Germany (with a soft spot for movie cars) and I have a model of the Valiant from the movie "Duel" in progress. I started with mating the front end of a Duster to a Dart body and did a lot of work to convert this Frankenstein into a Valiant. After showing pics in a model forum, someone told me that hardtops and sedans probably have different roof heights. So I may need to perform an anti-top-chop on the model to get an accurate replica.

Some pics for you:

As you can see, there are still a lot of things that need to be improved. Especially the side view with the low roof looks wrong. Some other inaccuracies need to be erased aswell. But I´d like to start with the roof as that will be the biggest challenge.

I would need some measurements to get as close to the real deal as possible and I hope to find an owner of a real Valiant who could help me out.

This is what I would need for reference:

Windshield:
- lower width
- upper width
- lenght/height of the a-pillar
- angle of a-pillar to the upper door line

Side windows:
- length from a-pillar to middle of b-pillar
- lenght from a-pillar to c-pillar

Rear window:
- lower width
- upper width (measured directly below the curve if you look from behind the car)

And probably some other measurements that may come to mind later...

The measurements that I need are the internal dimensions (size of the glass between the chrome trim). Any help would be much appreciated.

Best regards,
Kevin
