72 dart trim

Hello members I'm new to the forum so thanks for letting me join. I have a 72 Dodge Dart that I'm going to slowly start fixing up, I'm starting by removing body and door trim and that brings me to my first question. How does that trim come off I don't want to bend the trim but I can't see exactly how it is attached. Any help would be appreciated.

There's a trim tool removal tool that grabs the spring-like prongs under the trim. The bad news is that it works poorly. When removing the window trim for sealing, we just replaced the chrome pieces. If you don't need to remove them I wouldn't.

Thanks for the info, to paint the car I need to remove the door and side trim I’m assuming. Do people leave the trim on and tape it off to paint?

maybe in the past but if you want a better paint job then you should remove all the trim. It effects your ability to prep and paint the area if trim is still on the car plus it is easily noticeable that you didn’t make the effort.

Thanks, I assumed so and I’m planning on figuring out how to get the trim off.
