73 Cuda Windshield trim clips

I have had the roof replaced on my Cuda project due to rust. In the process of installing the roof skin I removed all of the pins that hold the trim clips due to rust as well. The problem is, I didn’t take any pictures for reference beforehand. I have found references for the locations, but, I’m not sure if the bottom of the clip is supposed to touch the bottom of the channel, or be held off of it a bit for clearance of the trim. I haven’t been able to find anything on the old inter web so I’m stumped. Any help would be appreciated as the glass guy will be here to install the glass in 5 days.

If you have the correct clips, there are different heights, you should be able to put them on the bottom of weld panel and have them be the correct height. If nothing else put the clips on and moldings, the molding should be flush with the roof skin without the glass installed.

That’s a good idea. Why didn’t I think of that?
