8 1/4 rear end COST$$$$$$$$$$

Question 8 1/4 rear end COST$$$$$$$$$$

what would a person exspect to pay for a 81/4 sure grip rear end 3.55 gear,,just the center chunk and pinion gear,,ive got a 77 aspen with just a plain 8 1/4 rear end and want to take the 1 leg dog up a notch,,eventually ill go to 8 3/4 but dont need it now,,so what is one used worth in great shape ive got my eye on one for 100$ out of a 97 durango

That's about average. Just make sure that the spline counts are the same in the carrier.

the one il looking at is 29 spline count,,is the 77 aspen rear end the same? anyone know???

I would do some measuring !!! If you are lucky you may be able to use the complete rear, weld on some new spring perches....

The issue with that is the rear axle from that year Durango is a 6 on 4.5 (or 5) lug pattern. He would need new wheels.

i only bought the center chunk and spindle,,it looks to be it great shape,i took a good friend of mine with me ,mr aspen and he looked it over and said it was good and to buy it

ya he lives 10 min from me ,and we work on our cars together and hunt for field and bard cars to piece out for him at mopar fest where he has a tent and sells parts,,hes a big help to me as this is my first mopar ,hes got lota parts as well
