accelerator plunger

Question accelerator plunger

I took the top of my carb off and now im trying to put it back togther and the accelerator pump will not go back in the hole. This is a new carb so How do i get the plunger back in?

Is there foreign material in the housing, is the diaphragm vac locking on ya, I am just guessing at this point, it's hard to see from here

Is it a BBD carter ? Its got a ball than the spring (short) than the plunger than the spring (long) and then the retainer ?

Well its not going in because the leather folds up and stops it. Do i have to get a new one?

Do you have anything you can slide over the plunger thats roughly the same diameter as the housing and use it like seal driver, ya know and re-install the plunger.

put one side of it in the hole and easly rotate it with some light grease on it and it will slip right in (rotate it not twist it)

sorry,, if that dont work for you, you can take some sowing string and put around it and tighten it so not to break string and and slip in and pull string off / its worked for me (so it folds inword)
