This car has been on ebay recently and I can not understand why it has not sold. It seems to be solid and priced to sell. NOM or trans but all original sheet metal. Older color change but not restored. Any thoughts as I am looking for an early RR. Distance from the DFW area makes this car somewhat risky. Heck, it might be sold as I post this! To buy that car, a person would need to have most if not all the . Going to the bank to borrow $40 thousand for a 1968 is tough. So, the people that can afford that car will be looking at a large number of cars that are for sale in that price category. This RR may be worth the money or it may not be, the problem is that many other cars are also worth that kind of money and the seller is competing for the sale with his/her car. Any time you are considering a purchase this large always look at it and have a professional with you. This may involve a few hundred dollars for a plane ticket or other travel expenses, but it also might save you tens of thousands of dollars.

 

it is a very nice car, but for 40k not having the original motor and trans and not being original paint and such.
think of it like buying a straight roadrunner, mixing and matching drivetrain and some decent paint, 40k seems high for a mismatched daily driver non show car.
if you have the money to spare, go for it, but def look at it first.

maybe its because i've always been a person to bring a rust bucket to something to be proud of, theres something special about the feeling you get when you lay that first coat of primer down after many late nights in the garage.
