anyone know where i can get a loan
Other than a loan shark, mom and dad, winning the lottery i beleve you don't have a snowballs chance in hell of securing a loan for 10 years due to a bankruptcy.Hell i got a repo [volentary]it has screwed me for 13 years. Not trying to be an *** but with the economy and that no one will even consider you, too much of a risk.I could not even borrow five bucks from a bank my credit sucks,[nothing to be proud of]that bad.

If you just filed bankruptcy.....YOU DONT NEED A LOAN!!!!!! OR A $12,000 CAR!!!!! This is how you got into it in the first place!!!! I'M DOING ALL I CAN JUST TO SAVE MY HOUSE!!!!! I drive a $600 car that I fixed up for my daily 88 mile round trip drive!

Ok, now I'm here to apologize if I came off too harsh. But really, a $12,000 loan is the LAST thing you need! Think about how you got to where you are. I might lose my house, many of my friends have already lost theirs here in Michigan. I got cheesed because I've seen many folks lose everything, even though they did everything right. And you say you just claimed bankruptcy, and now want a 12G ride! Kinda rubs me the wrong way. Did you learn anything? I guess everyones situation is different, but yours didn't elicit any sympathy from me. Once again, sorry for the harsh words.
I filed bankruptcy about 7 years ago after a nasty divorce and getting 2 peoples bills dumped on me. My mistake for not getting a lawyer and still trusting her to not totally screw me. Anyway, I went for about 2 years building up savings and getting my crap straight before trying to buy another car. I did get a loan pretty easily and with about as reasonable of interest as I could expect for having a bankruptcy on file. BUT I had a very large down payment on the car, like almost 50% down, in
. Also before I got the loan I got a few high interest rate junk credit cards and would put maybe 20-30 bucks in gas a month on them and pay them off in full every month. It helped to start rebuilding my credit. About a year ago my wife and I were able to buy a house. She has very good credit though.
I guess what I am saying from my experience is take your time and don't jump into ANYTHING. Buy a cheap beater and drive it for a bit and save some money up. A new car isn't all that great. And having a decent size savings account makes life a lot easier. Plus with no bills it is easy to save. Build your credit back a little at a time, you will get there eventually. Honestly at this point in my life other than a home loan and what little is left of my Student loan, I am nearly debt free and don't ever plan on getting a loan again. With a few grand you can usually find a decent car, or one that can be decent with a bit of elbow grease.
Check this guy out, ( http://www.daveramsey.com/home/ )his radio show/podcast has seriously changed how I look at things financially. Don't worry about buying the books and stuff, he tells it all on his radio show if you listen for a few weeks. I have a blue collar job and don't make much, but I would say in most ways I am far richer than most of my friends that work white collar business jobs and make far more than me.
Not trying to lecture you, do what you want. Just sharing how I learned my lesson, and what helped me. I am happier in life now than I ever was with a bunch of bills.
