Best place to put stands?

Hey, what is the overall BEST place to put my stands, I'm ONLY lifting the rear. And my service jack doesn't go that far under the car.

I generally put mine under the axle tubes for the rear.

Depends on what your doing to the car. If you need to have the suspension hang I would place the stands on the frame rails just ahed of foward spring mounts or back by the bumper mounts. Or say if your just doing a brake job I would do as 67gtxclone says under the axle tube spread as far as possible but give yourself room around brake mounting plates incase your doing wheel cylinders or parking brake cables. Bottom line here is to use common sense and to think safe. Trust me on that safe part here I'm currently out of work due to a injury, part of a vehicle crushed my leg, broke the femour messed up the knee pretty bad, on workers comp right now so I'm not on full pay. Boss aint shitting when he says "safety first"
