back in the day (80s) i could go to the body shop and ask for a scab they would give you a piece of the finder that was most ape to rust out ( the wheel well ) then you could cut it out and weld the new piece in

Before the summer is out we would like to do some body work as well.
I have been talking to some friends and they tell me you can buy pre made
"scabs" as you call them for some cars that are built to replace area's on a body that are known to rust out.

Idea being that you would cut out the offending area of you fender, rocker panel or whatever and weld this pre made piece into place. I've been told place's like JC Whitney have them but I have yet to investigate.

Joe.

In my latest internet quest to find body parts I found this site.

They have everything I need for my Dakota.

Now all I need is the money to buy it

Joe.
