Its a differant brand ? You read the number wrong ? or its a old grind and the cam grinder has used the number again. If on the back of the cam its stamped 111030 it is a mopar purple shaft.

You have a 427 Cougar?!! Closest I came was a 67 390 Stang. After an aggressive "Muscle Parts" catalog build it was close, but not quite there.

And a 428scj too?! *jelouse*

The 427 GTE is my 2nd. The first I owned back in the day(70s) and drag raced it pretty heavily. Its now sitting in a field in Wisconsin rusting away not for sale by its current owner(Gonna restore it someday). The best time it ran in pure stock was a 13.23 and held its class record at twin city speedway the last year I raced it. Now they are worth to much to abuse like that. The first one ever to go thru BJ a couple of months back went for $183,000. That one not being a XR7 and being the most popular color(RED) but a very nice and correct example. The one I own now is 1 of 12 in Wellington Blue and only 1 of 3 with dark blue leather interior and the only 1 of the 3 known to still exist according to the GTE registry.
The 428SCJ 4 speed xr7 convert. is 1 of 6 and is the only one of the 6 with a 4.30 detroit locker diff.(the other 5 having 3.91 Traction lock) and has only 12,000 miles on it. Most of these put on 1/4 mile at a time as it was purchased new by a east coast drag racer named Eddie Merkel and saw heavy use at many east coast drag strips.

Nothing if one actually has a plan to do it. The reason I sold my 70 Charger R/T and am selling my two road runners is I don't see me ever getting to them. Sometimes we must wake up and smell the roses. Some people never do. So the cars just rot away to nothing.
