Is it a dart or is it a duster?
Hey guys.
I would like some info on what going on here....
I recently purchased a 76 Plymouth Duster. Iv covered the store about the car in anther post. I have failed to upload photo but that will change right now.....
Today I posted photos of the car on the mopar page on Facebook and people went nuts (138 comments in under an hour) it went so crazy thay admins had to kill the post.
My post was about - my 76 duster having dodge stamped all over it.
However the title ( original ) says 76 duster - since it had been so long since the car had been tagged when I went to get the car I did have the police come out a validate the car was not stolen - they said the car was clean and everything matched *tag matched vin* so on and so forth. I did fail to ask the police what the car was registered as in there system - I still assume it's a duster.....
Anyway when I asked why my duster had dodge stamped all over it - it was pretty clear that everyone felt it was a dart sport.
Can you guys clear this up?
Thanks!
Pic of fender - at one time there was some kinda badging there - both fenders are lIke this -

I remember back in 75 going in to my local Chrysler Plymouth dealer and looking at the 75 Duster on the Sales floor. the funny thing was it said Dart on passenger side front fender and Duster on the Drivers side. I was told that it happens lol, no wonder there can be confusion at times!
