dart tranny cooler

Having trouble mounting a tranny cooler with a fan on my 69 dart. I dont want it near the radiator so i,m trying to see where else I can put it. I found a spot back under the car buts thats a good ways from the tranny. Does it matter how far away I am from tranny probably 7 feet of line dont know if that matters. I thought about inside the car in trunk in front of fuel cell close to back seat but dont know if that would be good or legal or not. Just a street car may play with on track now and then but nothing serious. Thanks for any help.

If its mechanically cooled with a fan you can be selective of where it goes but it still needs a good supply of cool airs moving thru the fins or plates.

I have mounted them along the frame rails and in front of the rear differential without issues.

The under side of the car is hostile environment. Can you do it, sure, but electric fans and coolers can take a beating.

I'd just mount it in front of the radiator like everybody else does and the fan may be optional.

Assuming you're using it in line with the tranny cooler inside the radiator and not by passing it.
