deciding on a cruising car...need help

Just moved to Alaska and before coming up I bought a 74 barracuda 440 car and left her in oklahoma for a ground up restore while im stationed here. They actually have some great car clubs up here and do a ton of shows and cruises in the summer months! Which im totally stoked for we have been to every show they have going on every weekend. Now im getting the itch again and time to buy another car, not knowing a lot about mopars im looking for a car that would be a great driver of course wanting a 2 door and something that can be modified and cloned, so im looking for opinions really since i dont know anything about mopars the barracuda is my first. What would a good starter be. I like the longer body cars like the road runners and super bee clones i have seen but the ones with out the huge wings and front nose. So im looking for something ill drive and restore and modify but i want a good cruiser so all suggestions are welcome!

All the cars are good, it just depends on on how they are built. You want a solid, dependable ride with a decent amount of get up and go, that will run on pump gas. That means keep the engine on the mild side and the rear gears in the cruising range, 3.23 and lower, numerically.

I'm a little partial to Chargers, bit that's your call.

Welcome aboard!

Well what im looking for is something that will be good from factory perspective iv heard the rr need brakes bad and iv found a few chargers up here. I will be buying most likely around new years and starting my research a little early in case i run into something. What im looking for is something that was just a good overall driver from the factory that i can upgrade threw out the process of driving and showing.
