Dumb question #246

O.k......I'm getting ready to install a new Distributor cap and rotor. I've never swapped out the rotor before and I don't see any screw holes or anything on the new one. Do these pop off and on? anything I need to know before I start prying on things? I know this is probably a no brainer but I've never changed a rotor before.

No mechanical fasteners, just a snug fit.

Sometimes old ones REALLY get stuck. I had one (customer's car) I had to tap with a chisel gently to split it. But normally they pull off/ push on.

Well, tackled the cap & rotor today. Gave the rotor a couple of rocks back and forth while pulling up and she popped right off. Peice of cake......thanks guys!
