engine swap

I am looking to put a 96 318 in my 65 dart with a 518 4 speed trans . has anyone done this electronic engine swap . will the engine run without the electronic trans. i have the original harness & ecm .can i delete wires from the harness & what wires will i need.

you will need everything to keep it simple from the 96 , its about all you can do as its not like the old days sorry

you might be able to find an emc in the junk yard out of a truck with a manual tranny and grab that and use it with the harness from that truck.
