ford guy drooling.....

i took my 69 dart gt to get some gas, she does like to drink the gas. anyways this man was also getting gas acouple pumps away from me. he finished up first and came my wayand stopped in front of me. he gets out and comes over to look at my car. he says to me she in really nice and starts asking questions like what year what she got in her and stuff like that. then he totally blows me away and says would you be interested in a trade. he says i will trade you my 2008 ford 150 4x4. i looked at him and trying not to be an a$$ i said what am i suppose to do with a ford. at first i thought he was joking but he was very serious. he started to tell me all the options on his truck and its life story. i told him the car isnt for trade or sale but he kept flapping his mouth, by this time i was getting alittle tired of him and i said i am not interested in a ford of any kind my yard is not big enough for such a big flower planter. that was the end of his babbling and he got mad and left. i was sorry for being a jerk but come on i told him repeatedly no and he kept it up. please tell me was i to much of an a%% or was i about as polite as i could of been?

Hey Guys, I would love to have a dollar for every time someone at a track comes over and asks "What kind of car is that"? When you have a Formula S 1968 Barracuda you have to wonder??????? But I have to say its mostly the "younger crowd"..... That would be 30 or less... But I just can't imagine how I would have handled your case... Probably more like PD!!!!! But I can always blame it on my age!!!!!!!

Everyone used to call my 70 Duster a Nova!!!!! Really pissed me off!!! Anything but a Chebby!!!!! I was racing at Dothan Alabama one night and the announcer kept calling it a Nova... I finally went to the tower and explained to him it was a Duster.. He saw he had me pissed off and did it again.... Had a friend in a Demon and we pulled to the line together and shut them off.... He got the message that there were some Mopars racing that night. My friend beat me in the finals so he won and I was runner up... Or as we used to say the last looser!!!!!

Back when I was doing the Corvette thing, I had an Ermine white 62. I took it to one of the local burger joint classic car nights. I saw this one guy really checking out my car. I walked over and talked to him nad he was picking my car apart which pissed me off a bunch, but I did not say anything. Over time, this guy (Larry) has become my best friend and he actually helped me finish up my Mopar. He got a lot of grief for having a Mopar in his Chevy shop, but he took it in stride and actually was telling people how cool my car was. It is kind of amazing what can happen if you just stay cool.

But really, who the hell wants a late model Ford truck???
