Found a 72 dart and I need some advise

Hey guys, its been a while since I posted on here, but I stay updated and read everyone elses posts! I have the opportunity to buy this slant 6 dart, and I just wanted some opinion on what its worth. Its a solid car, from what I can tell, here are some pics. He said the car runs rich, but it runs and drives. I think I can pick it up for $1800-$2000, also it comes with a 360 that needs put together. He said it came out of a 72 satellite...

I would appreciate all the info I could get, and also anything specific I need to look for.

Thanks guys

I would grab it if your looking for a Hot Rod. If that roof is troubling you, I've heard that some are reskinning with chemical adhesion and minimal or no welding and having very good results.

Thanks for the info. I did end up picking up the car! Its very solid underneath, Other than the exhaust leak, seems to run really quiet. Shifts well. It does run a little rich, but I'll look into that issue in the morning. The 360 that came with the car, is disassembled but complete minus the carb. I was told the guy had it in a road runner for his son, but the engine was too much for his kid, so he bought a 318 and sold this one on craigslist. So I'll investigate that more tomorrow as well. I just got back from getting it.

The roof does bother me, but I'll cross that bridge when I get to it I suppose! I'm sure I'll be back on here again researching and asking a bunch of questions when I go to do my swap!

I ended up paying $1700, he had the build sheet, and many other documents that shows its history. Its a florida car, and it has only been in Indiana for the past 4 years. I'm heading out now to mess with it...I'm thinking I got a good deal. Or at least hoping.

I am really excited. I love my old 880, but its just a cruiser. I'm looking forward to having something with a little muscle under the hood....eventually!
