fuel line help

where does the smaller of the two fuel lines go on a 1978 Cordoba? I'm guessing that the smaller one was something to do with emissions, but all the smog stuff has been removed long ago by a previous owner. Any help would be nice.

I think it went to a carbon filter, I am not 100% sure.

I think some late 70's mopes had a certain type of fuel filter that had a return port built into them which was smaller than the fuel line. Also had the charcoal can like Polara stated.

Does the line actually go to the fuel tank?
