Help please. Alternator not charging.

Unhappy Help please. Alternator not charging.

I converted my 360 magnum from efi to carb and now I need to know if there is a way that I can bypass my PCM so that my alternator will charge my battery and all th at good stuff.

Well at least PART of that diagram is wrong. "12 V from battery" should read SWITCHED 12V from KEY That is you do not want hot at all times, you want switched 12v in "run"

Here is the basic diagram from the 70 / later regulator:

Basically, the terminal indicated from the VR goes to either field terminal of the alternator.

The terminal indicated of the VR goes to switched "ignition run" from the key.

It is IMPORTANT that the regulator be GROUNDED to "same as" battery negative
