Angry Help with Stroker again Please. Copper gasket issues

I have a stroker 408. I noticed that the headgaskets were leaking so based on advice I took the topend off. I had my edelbrock heads gone through and put the engine back together with Sce copper Head gaskets $235. I put fluid into the radiator and wow the g.d. heads were dripping antifreeze out of the gaskets again. I didnt even fire the engine? Everything was torqed properly. I have read in some posts that copper gaskets need to get hot to seal? Should I add some additive to help seal? Whats going on here? I have 40 hours into this head project. Its a A-body so i have to unbolt engine to get headers off. Its a real pain in the as.. Please giv e me some advice as I dont want to rip engine apart again if I dont have to.....

Did you use any copper sealer on the gaskets??? I had a small block and used copper gaskets and even tried the ones that were supposed to not have to be sealed. They leaked... So I learned my lesson. Use sealer on both sides of the gaskets. Don't try to be real neat.. Put plenty all around the water jackets..... Torque the heads down and then get engine up to temp and then re-torque again... Then all should be fine. This worked for me on a set of W2 steel heads....
