How 2 Replace reflector lens on Cordoba

Well, for better or for worse the bidder on my 300 was a deadbeat. So since I still have the car I might as well do some stuff for the good of it. The front driver side reflector is missing. I found a house with a 78/79 Cordoba my friends nearby said has been sitting since they moved there. With consent of the owner of course, my plan is to transfer its reflector to mine. I don't understand however, how they are attached, are they just glued on? I have pictures of mine to show you. Thanks

Its held in with 'dum-putty' (sp), you might be able to get it at your local auto parts joint, but for sure where they specialize in auto body paint/supplies. It comes in like strips of 6" x 1/4" lengths, I think 3M makes it. You just kinda roll it out to make it fit in the groove where the lens fits in, then squish it in. They actually used the same stuff on the 75-77 Dobes to hold the tail light lenses in. BTW I bought my 79 300 new....still have it.....

I'm with gccruzer on this. It looks like some sort of putty or glue that holds it in. What about replacing the whole thing? Maybe there are some screws on the inside that hold attach it?

OK I will look into that putty. I need to check to see if the whole part comes out but if I remember right it doesn't.
