Important E-Mail about cell phone chargers

I got this today. A similar one (if not the same) went around a while back, this is worth considering. My phone has gotten hot from charging, never this hot, but it makes you think.

Here is the E-Mail:

Hi All,

> We had a pretty scary incident recently. Attached are pictures of what
> remains of our 2007 Suburban. We are all okay but I wanted to warn
> everyone not to make the same mistake I did.
>
> This fire resulted from leaving an Iphone charger/docking station plugged
> into the car outlet. It overheated and started a fire, while parked in our
> garage. PLEASE unplug anything you have in your car outlets once you turn
> off your car!
>
> We were VERY fortunate that we accidentally found the fire, at 11pm, before
> going to bed and before it spread to the house. None of our garage heat
> detectors or house fire alarms went off (another item to take care of on my
> to do list).
>
> Feel free to pass this along to anyone you want. Better safe than sorry.

My point exactly.

Are you sure, absolutely positive yours is not faulty?

It is too easy not to take it out.

Yep and I've never had an accident so I don't bother with seat belts, what could possibly happen

well inside my work truck i always have had a charging system in the plug outlet and its a 99 and have never had anything burn up (knock on wood) but to be honest , the dodges have always been an issue when i am driving in the night time on my way home from somewhere and have the dash lights turned down it seems that the light switch always gets hot as the juice is running farther in the switch and have had to replace the wifes and I switches and when pulled out they are melted some what so to all who drives at night with your dimmers down just make sure your switches are cool to the touch or you might have a simular happening with your car/truck im telling all as ive had this happen through experiance but not to the point its burnt my truck dash (cross fingers)
