Kickdown Cable to Transmission Question

Should it be obvious where the kickdown cable connects on the transmission?

Does it look like I'm missing something here?

Thanks.

The picture is a little dark, isn't there supposed to be another piece attached to the same piece?

I thought there was supposed to be another lever on top that the kickdown cable attaches to. I haven't been able to find to much so I'm bringing it into the tranny shop on Wednesday. I think I'm missing pieces and I don't feel like digging through the junk yard to figure it out.

This is the best picture I have, it is bottom up, so you can't see both levers attached, but can see the two components.

Thanks for that pic. I'm definitely missing the kickdown lever on the transmission.

It seems like the transmission is making a weird noise so hopefully the PO didn't burnout the tranny by driving without the kickdown installed.

I'll find out on Friday after I get it checked out by the transmission shop. I just hope it's not an expensive fix.
