I have a 78 dodge motorhome with a 400 engine and a 727 trans its on the B300 chassis im getting ready to get a rebuild kit for the trans and need to know if there is a way to tell if its a lockup or non lockup externally any help would be great thank you

 

The only way is to drive it and see what happens to the RPMs after third gear. Only other way is to look at the input shaft.
