Looking a a winter Mopar
Been a while since I was here, but need some advice and this was my first stop.
Looking for a winter car, plan on running the jeep soley in the fair weather times, allowing me to do more to it. It's hard to mod a jeep when you need it to drive to work the next day. And it's stabillity on canadian winter roads is lacking due to lift, tires etc!
So i have the search down to two car, but that might change.
Car #1 2009 dodge Avenger sxt with the 2.7 flex fuel v6, auto FWD, 4 wheel disks and ABS
Car #2 2006 dodge Magnum se 3.5 v6 RWD traction and stability control 4 wheel disks and ABS
Leaning towards the Magnum but heard some bad things about the tranny and build quality of the earlyer models, was it sorted out for 06? And the RWD may not be the best choice for winter but the longer wheel base and traction control would be.
The avenger is a excellant car, but loses out due to looks with the magnum, but it still have a few years of factory warrenty left, and the FWD is appealing for winter. both cars have same millage and same price.
It's -20 and snowed again last night so I'm off to a dealer to text drive these cars to see how they handle in the white stuff.
Any opinions or advice? Any Magnum and Avenger owners want to chime in with their views of their cars?

I love my Charger R/T. With traction control and ABS it does well in the bad weather. A nice HEMI Charger is still bringing pretty good money, but... Cop cars are starting to hit the market pretty cheap. These can be had in either the Hemi or the six, for better mileage. Pick up a good deal on a cop car and dress it any way you want.

They drive crown vics up here so sadly a used cop car is a no go. Ended up getting the Avenger, handles excellant in the snow, with all seasons it held it's own in the -20 temps and 30cm of snow we had yesterday, the magnum and charger were ok in the snow but hands down the fwd of the avender was the way to go.
