just found a craigs list post for an old motorhome with 440 and trans. Can drive home $700. Might be a good day after all!

I know where there is a couple of them, not really drivable but will run.I'm keeping those in my pocket, may need them later.

sweet.... i wanna find a 440 so bad... i wanna start buildin a big block... but i should prolly stick with the 318... wat u think?

I love my 318,it runs great,I'm not interested in racing,just cruising...My son was driving the old girl for a while before he joined the Navy and ended up burning up the 904 tranny. I cant wait to drive her again.

In your other thread it did.

Swapping in a 413 or 440 from a motorhome is the way to go, especially if you can get the whole thing.
