Angry Motor Oil Problem

Hey, I haven't been on for a while, the car is finally finished and ready to go except for one thing. I changed the oil like an hour ago from Vavoline full synthetic to GTX High Mileage 10w-30. I started it, but the oil pressure gauge isn't moving so I shut it off.

Started it 5 minutes later, still didn't move, but drove it out of the garage to the driveway. My parents came home so I told my dad, he just told me to put it back into the garage, so when I started it, it now has a slight knocking sound. What do we do

It almost sounds like you have the wrong oil filter on the car. Did you compare where the holes are on the new filter, compared to the old filter?

The last time you started it, did it have any oil pressure?

No it didn't. A friend that knows a little bit more about cars is coming over in the morning. I checked the oil filter like he said, it has old oil on the outside holes but is dry inside which according to him means the pump went out.

The filter is a Purolator PureOne PL30001 which is the correct size for a 400.

It probably lost it's prime. Try filling the filter with oil before installing it..

Problem fixed, the oil filter was the problem. Put a different brand on it and now works. Thanks for the replies, I need to get a big post up of the finished project now.
