My 1967 Charger won't stay in PARK

My 1967 Charger won't stay in PARK

When I use my column shifter on my 67 Charger ,every gear engages except when I put it into PARK it doesn't go into PARK mode.Just stays in neutral.please help.yhx very much

I would take the linkage off the trans lever and see if it will go into park and holds, if it does then it’s worn shifting linkage.
