My Glove Box.....

Its me again, i dont mean to be so needy but i have another problem. Does anyone out there have any ideas on how to get my glove box open. It is locked and wont unlock,and i dont want to damage my dash trying to open it. I have no ideas,can anyone help?

well do you have any other mopars? when i bought mine roadrunner it had no keys...i bought a scamp of the same year and i was messing around one day and i used the scamp trunk key and it worked for my console and glove box!..but i think you can have a locksmith rekey it

Do you have the key(S)?

Are you using the right one? (Sorry, you didn't give a lot of info)

Does the key move in the lock?

Do you have a locksmith in the neighborhood? Some mechanics are pretty good with a lock pick .. no, I'm not kidding ...

the car is a 69 dart gt i have tried both keys and they both dont work the button goes in but does not turn.

yhose yrs i think they used a cardboard box. mite have to pull it out from the rear and un screw from the inside. i dont know how much replacement box are tho? just a though

the glove box

yeah i think they did use cardboard. the box on my 74 scamp is cardboard too. i thought about molding my own fiberglass box. ANYWAY, too make it easy, drill the lock out, hit the junk yard, find a glove box lock cylinder with a key. then replace your old one. you can use all kinds. unless you want to keep it all stock, call a lock smith...
