Does anyone know what switch or sensor would be screwed into the brake proportioning valve? It's not on a mopar its actually a 76 toyota celica I bought a couple days ago. Cool little car but that switch or sensor some how aquired a bad... squirt lol. I would like to switch it out with a replacement but no one seems to what it is to find one. I was thinking it was some crazy japaneze version of a brake light switch but I had oreilly's look it up and the brake light switch goes under the dash like normal (although I could not set eyes on it under the dash). If anyone knows please let me know other wise I'm gonna have to go through the work of putting a block in it and possibly finding out it was something I really needed lol. It wouldn't be a big deal but its in a really tough to get to spot. It does have power brakes, and I have a little digital read out (dummy light deal) that says vac. booster. But the vacuum booster works fine. I'm thinking its some sort of pressure sensor that lets you know the booster is working right, and I imagine with a leak like it has it wouldnt have near enough pressure on it. But I don't know. I can't seem to find any kind of booster sensors or switchs for it either. Please help.
One cool note about this car, I found out today that a 20r 4 banger toyota engine uses the same oil filter as a small block mopar! lol
