Newb checking in!

Hello All!
Name is John.
24 years old on sunday.
Single dad of an amazing 10 month old baby girl.
Live in the beautiful state of Idaho, (Northern Idaho) born and raised.
Current full time student in an Aerospace Composite program.
Love the outdoors, any and all types of vehicles, avid shooter/collector of firearms and bows.
Owner of a 64 Dodge Polara 500 that has been sitting under a cover since the mid 90's that ive recently felt the need to turn into a daily driver/cruiser.
The car is all original aside from interior and paint (some ugly sea foam green leather and white body) 318 wide block and push button 727.
Cosmetically great aside from missing a driver trim piece and some dimpled headlight bezels. Carb needs rebuilt and some minor electrical issues but other than that a sound ride.
Came here looking for advice on the Polara and somewhat interested in what I have on my hands. Have a few pics in my albums and can produce more at any request.
Hope you all are having a wonderful holiday and look forward to hearing some feedback (any and all is welcome)!
-Johnny

Welcome. Very nice car, you have one of the more desireable Mopar body styles, hang on to that one.

You'll find this a very helpful place with very little B.S.

Thanks man, I appreciate the feedback.
My dad gave me/gave up on it as a project 8 years ago and I never really realized that it was badass car until i brought it outta the shop last summer to wash it up, after that the project dream started. All in all I dont have huge dreams or aspirations for the car itself; Just a solid, reliable, clean looking daily driver for summer and fall. There is a fairly large car scene in the area and in all my years attending shows and cruises the only other polara i have seen was a BEAUTIFUL 65 that was low, slow, and perfect in every aspect; and thats what i have in mind for this one. One thing I didnt realize was how expensive trim and hard parts would be! $400 for headlight bezels seemed a little high but I guess i can just keep looking.
Thanks again for the reply
Johnny

Welcome!
Start that baby's memories early in that Dodge the more children rooted in them the longer the real history carries on
