VEHICLE: 1995 Dodge Spirit 3.0 V6 Engine

Symptoms: Cruise Control playing possum

Was working fine before timing belt, water pump replacement.

Fuse in fuse panel is alive both sides

Checked hose connections at servo. All are connected.

No check engine lamp light. ECU is not in open loop

Is there are troubleshooting guide for this? The factory manual is a little weak in this area. The car is worth fixing.

does the speedometer work?

 

Speedometer continues to work perfectly. Does the brake light switch have a separate circuit for cruise control disengagement? I live in Mexico.

 

Check all vacuum lines the cruise gets it vacuum from the fitting by the brake booster.. Also check for cracked hoses and electrical connections...Bill

 

Did that. Sure wish there was a troubleshooting step-by-step guide in the factory manual.
