Please help as i cant find any rocker studs to suit my engine?
I am after some rocker studs for my assie 265hemi to fit some ford yella terra rocker rollers I have.
I have 3/8 into the head and the rocker rollers are 5/16 so I need some 3/8 to 5/16 x 12
I have tried just about all the performance shops, cant find any anywhere. Any one have any ideas? They are too hard to drill out. Even with hardened drill bits.
cheers maca

Call ARP 800.826.3045 here in the states.
Tell them you want the part number for the rocker stud from the old 1425-16 kit. It is a 5/16 ( into the head) to 3/8 ( thru the rocker) rocker stud. It is no longer on there site catalog.

Hey PK
Good to hear from you.
Thanks I will call them. Do you think it will be fine to flip them around and put the 3/8 into the head and 5/16 through the rocker. I will check with them to see if they will be long enough.
cheers

Thanks Coronet
That's what I need but I don't think the base thread would be long enough as the threads are set down in the head a fraction. Also I need to put guide plates on too. I will measure it up today.
cheers

Some handy info to keep in mind.
I tried to drill them out with steel drill bits at low and high speed. I tried hardened drill bits with cutting compound etc etc.
Some old guy told me he heard of another old fellow who has now passed away used to drill harden bearing races. he used a concrete drill but and sharpened the tungsten end like a normal drill.
I can tell you that I tried it tonight and it worked a treat.
