SERPENTINE BELT BRAKING :(

I have a 1998 durango 318. The tensioner pulley is new and the other pulleys look good. The serpentine belt keeps shreding and breaking. I think the a/c pump is going out and burning up my belt. Does anyone know how to check the a/c pump or have any other imput on what could be causing this problem.

Yep it is either an accessory going bad and over loading the belt or an alignment issue.
