I was having a friendly little chat with Tim Oneil, who has been acting like the Chinese Army lately as he keeps throwing more and more Ford Fiestas at me

Love stone white SRTs.... I almost bought one myself before i got my red one..

Are you allowed to do any engine mods or does it have to be "Stock" in rallying?

What mods do you have? Couldnt imagine a big turbo would help in snow rallys.

I ended up going the other way, this car was red about 3 rolls ago.

each class is a bit different, some allow more changes than others. In the 2WD National class, its pretty much free with everything, engine, suspension, brakes, exhaust, interior. Limited to 5.7L engine max but nobody runs anything like that currently.

Rally has some odd rules, such as cars MUST have catalytic converter (which of course means unleaded fuel, this somewhat limits the big dollar teams from running $30/gal fuel and just overkilling everybody)

Agreed, big turbo becomes a bit of a liability in snow rallies. Sometimes less is more. We ran effectively zero boost at SD2013

Brief summary (and not comprehensive, either :wink

Stage 3
Custom PCM
KW 3 way adjustable coilovers
15" gravel tires (gravel tires don't exist in sizes bigger than 15 inch)
Timewise 547B Rally Computer
Sparco Circuit Seat (driver)
Sparco Circuit Pro Seat (codriver)
Sparco steering wheel
Sparco Harnesses
carbon hood
Samco hoses
Hella 4000 HID lights x 4
