In 1968 funny car hero Gene Snow made a new funny car that NHRA didnt let it fit into Funny Car class. So at the World Points Finals in Octber it was in the C /A class and he cleaned up. Eather 1968 or 69 that car was in my home town Wichita KS. He had just switched from a auto trans to a slipper clutch. In the pits I ask him why he switched to a clutch. “I got tired of changing transmissions.”
