So, I need an answer, Is it a MOPAR?
Chrysler bought Jeep.... Jeep IS a MOPAR
Fiat bought Chrysler, and Dodge is a division of Chrysler....
Fiat owns Ferrari and Ferrari is just a division of Fiat...
So,,, I Ferrari a MOPAR now?
It should be just another Fiat division like, Dodge, Jeep, Chrysler, Ferrari.
Right?

Ok
Technically, I would say it is a mopar.
But none of us would feel that way. I tend to view Mopars as only the American companies that Chrysler has acquired since they were created, such as Desoto, AMC.....

Fiat owns Chrysler and all the subsidiaries, Fiat owns Ferrari. Chrysler does not own Ferrari, so I say no to it being MOPAR!
I agree with ya' on this one I say no also

I wouldn't call Ferrari a Mopar just because Fiat bought another company. Like others have said, they are all just subdivisions of Fiat. If Chrylser bought Ferrari then I would say yes they are now Mopar.

I always thought that Mopar was a parts manufacture for Chrysler Corp.
I just assume that if it's got Mopar parts it would be considered a Mopar car. Do Fiat and Ferrari have Mopar parts?
Feel free to tell me I'm out in left field![Smile](https://moparforums.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

Yes MOPAR is the parts division but in the car hobby the term MOPAR has been generally accepted as a generic term for all cars from "chrysler corporation".
As such, now that Fiat, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ferrari are all one big happy family, will Ferrari's be accepted in the MOPAR community? I guess that was my question, although I worded it wrong.
I am considering a Ferrari and was wondering if it would be accepted in the community.
I know all the thoughts that have been here are legitimate and I agree on both sides of the argument. I agree that Chrysler doesn't own Ferrari so, no it isn't a MOPAR. At the same time neither was Jeep until it was brought into the family. BUT Chrysler bought Jeep unlike Fiat buying Chrysler.
It might be compared to a step family. Mom and Dad married but both had families before. Now do the kids want to be related or not?
Think about this... I show up at Chryslers at Carlisle in a red Ferrari (oops that should be Russo corsa Ferrari) Will they allow me through the gate? I know I could call and make all these arrangements prior to driving there. I just wonder what the popular opinion would be. While I might like to see it happen, if I was working the gate, I'm not so sure I would let the Ferrari in the show. Might make for a interesting exchange of ideas.

I would say no. A Ferrari is a Ferrari and a Mopar is a Mopar. No affiliation whatsoever as far as I am concerned. If I show up to a Ferrari show in my '65 Chrysler 300 'vert or my '07 Charger R/T I'm pretty sure they would tell me to get lost.

I understand the community aspect and I think the answer would be no, it would not be considered a MOPAR. However if either the Fiat or Ferrari were manufactured with MOPAR parts, it would be undeniable MOPAR.
I have to say I just love those "Imported from Detroit" commercials.
"This is Detroit, and this is what we do"!
