I see nothing wrong with trying that. I have used some knock off brands before. I think one was called Hush Matt and it was very good. I wasn't competing in audio contests or anything, just wanted to quiet some panel resonance and it worked well.

 

Eastwood also has their own knock off stuff.

I put the Eastwood brand on my floor. It worked as advertised. It reduced the road noise and heat and was easy to install.

 

ya i was looking into eastwoods i get ther news letter and theres is more costly and you dont get as much,,the other stuff is 100 square feet for under 150$ with shipping included,so i was thinking i could do my floor ,,my roof befor i put my new headliner in to keep the heat down and still have enough to do the doors,,i was justwondering if anyone had tried the product and if so how well did it work,,im on a tight budjet right now but if its crap ill wait to get better stuff
