Update on buying 70 Plymouth Duster from below

Well went ahead and bought the Duster, has a nice sounding and really sweet running 340 in it, from what I have been told it is a H code 340, built .30 over with an upgraded purple cam, Holley 650 with an Edelbrock intake, the trans is an automatic that was just built also, 3000 stall converter, has a Cheetah SCS reverse pattern manual shifter, ceramic coated long tube headers all going through a TTI full 2 1/2 inch exhaust with Flowmasters on it, lots of other goodies on the suspension too, now my big question is I am wanting to put an MSD box on it and do away with the stock ignition system, any ideas as to what MSD I need and how hard is it to install, thanks for any information.

I would just change the box to the Orange box and run it.....
But Depending on if you want mild or wild MSD is a great choice.. There not hard to install.....
6AL is a good Street Strip unit....

JUST the FYI'S

That is an Awesome Duster !!!!!!!!!!

That is one great looking ride. I'm envious. If you like fooling around with distributor weights and springs to fine tune your advance curve any MSD distributor will do the job. Their the best there is. If you want a distributor with preloaded advance curves that you can select via two pan pots, no vacuum advance pots or weights or springs go with their all electronic distributor. It'll do the car justice especially with a 360.

Depends on your budget ? You can run a 6AL MSD with the stock dist.. The performance Mopar dist,, MSD box would work very well together.. -- Check E bay

So that's what a unlightend Duster looks like.
Very good-looking!

Sweet car, Nice find.... MSD are very simple to install but because of it being digital you must use an analog timing light.... Or it will bounce all over the place and give you false readings if you use a digital timing light...Like Bob said I would just put a orange or Chrome box on it and call it a day....Bill
