Vin location and Decode help!

Hey Guys and Gals

Trying to decode the vin and fender tag on my 1964 Plymouth Sport Fury and keep running into some snags.

First snag I can't find the VIN tag.

The registration says the VIN is 3441xxxxxx (last 6 sequance numbers x'd out for safety)

From this I get:
(3) Plymouth V8
(4) Premium price point
(4) 1964 Model Year
(1) Detroit Lynch Road plant

Easy to decode, just can't find it to confirm.

I can however find the options tag on the Fender, but can't decode it.

it reads:

30 103
063 15 838 12 8
0316 0473 342 P4X PP

From this all I can decode is:
(063) 8.55x14 WSW Tires
(342) Torqueflite 1962-63 & 66

Nothing else comes up!

Can anyone shed some light on this please?

Well made some headway, found out my car was a 413 Street wedge from the factory, shame it's got a 383 in it now, or else I could ask a bit more for her!

Ok guys hope this helps others, for the 64" there is a good link here http://www.hamtramck-historical.com/...ringInfo.shtml It is the ordering codes, you can decode the fender tag in a few minutes buy reading thru the options lists and comparing them to your fender tag.

As for mine this is what I learnt.

it came from the factory with:

383 4-bbl Golden Commando engine, duel exhaust, with a 4 speed manual with Hurst shifter, 70 amp alt, AM radio, clock, bumper guards (front only) Bucket seats, black interior, Ruby red Mono tone paint on the outside, heavy duty shocks, heavy duty radiator, and a sure grip rear end with a 3.23 gear ratio.

Which means the story the little old lady told me about it being a Wedge car is a load of horse Plop!
