Cool Are we going to hell for this?????????

My brother and I found an old junkyard in Tenn. that was started in 1947. We decided to look for some 60's MOPAR history. I never thought that would be such a hard job, but it was.

As we went up the mountain it seemed that the only cars in this place where Fords and Chevys. Then, "BAMB" there sat a Charger. So we looked it over good and checked the vin # only to find that it was a true 440 4speed car. Someone had taken the motor and tranny out years ago it seemed. What a shame, the EPA is forcing the owner to crush most of the cars. This charger was marked to be crushed.

As we made our way up the mountain we found a real diamond. We found an AAR CUDA!!! "Why the hell is this car in here?" I ask. As we got closer we saw why. It seemed that a tree had jumped into the road and hit this awsome MOPAR right in the front. I hate when that happens. It also seemed that a tree had fallen and missed the Chevys sitting on both sides of this car and landed right on the roof. This car was doomed from the start. Most of this car had been picked clean as we saw it but for one part. So we went to the truck and got the battery powered sawzal and cut the rear section off the car. "Are we going to hell for this?"

Here are some pictures, please don't get too mad.

We have a '71 cuda with the round tail lights and my brother wants to replace the tail panel with this one. I told him it would be a great idea, but we had to top it off with a stock 225. LOL

if you think your going to hell for that I have news for you. your not the only one. I will remember this post until i can get some pics of the cuda that sits outside my brothers father in laws place i could throw up just talking about it. He uses it to run a saw mill he cut it in half and has the front end of the car sticking out the side of his barn with the motor and trans operating the blade with the drive shaft hanging out the back no joke i would keep the back end as a wall hanger

We are going back to that boneyard this weekend. My guess is that my shop floor will be loaded with hard to find parts. We are planning on even bringing a 1959 Buick Lesaber 2 dr hardtop(bubble top) with a 401 home. Dad is going after an old Hudson Teriplane coupe so he can sit it in his front yard as yard art.

Too bad they don't have any old HEMI cars.

But if I give it to you, I'll have no proof that we cut up one of God's creations.

I'd just about say that if you posted the location and directions to that junk yard, you'd have a stampede of us from about 8 states coming to see what we can scavenge before they are all crushed.

St Rt 27, Helenwood, Tn. about 4 miles south of Onieda, Tn.. If you are going south it is on the left side. There are no signs just a big blue garage with hundreds of cars parked around it. The treasure chest is behind the garage in the woods and they go all the way to the top of the mountain.

They were suppose to start crushing on Monday, but I was told yesterday they haven't started yet.

If you can get there, you too can save some of these cars.

If you are in the area and can't find it just call my shop at 606-376-1877, ask for Jeff

The company that is doing the crushing has put the date back for now, the yard is so wet from the weather that they said they have to wait so they don't get their equipment stuck.

Is this divine intervention?

I agree. They can give me the ones I want. I have a little field beside the shop that I can store them in and fix them one at a time. I hope that other can save more of these cars.

So whadda you all think, should we make a date and try to decend on this place like a flock of locusts before it's all gone? 15-20 people, all day, with tools and trucks and we could load up
