Question Wheels for a 1974 Duster?

I am restoring a 1974 Plymouth Duster, and I need to know the difference between small bolt, and large bolt on the wheels. Someone has told me that the small bolts where 72 on down. Large bolt is 73, and up. True or not? The guy at the tire shop looked it up in a book, and told me it is 14", 4.5 (measuring of the holes). The wheels on the car now are 15" (they are not the original ones). Do I have to put 15" back on the car?
Thanks you,
Steff

Small bolt pattern measures 5 on 4" , big bolt measures 5 on 4 1/2" centers. By 1974 I do believe they were the big bolt pattern and 14" wheels from the factory. I kinda like the bigger wheel my self. Try looking at Year One and Specialty Wheels for some 14" raylle wheels.

74 you should have the larger bolt pattern 4 1/2 x 5 Plus I don't think the made 15" wheels for the small bolt pattern
