World of Wheels, Huntington WV this weekend

They are advertising at least 150 cars, I figure more, they have been filled since late November. I know my GTX copy will be there, a hemi powered 56 Ford F-100, and a 440 powered PT Cruiser. All nice cars, and of course, a General Lee... What show would be complete without one? lol
Starts Friday, Mar 5, and runs thru Sunday Mar 7

Sure will... it's been funny watching people's reaction to the PT (now badged as an R/T Cruiser. It's just a 200K mile plus car, silver, subtle wheels, and looks like an everyday machine. At first everyone asks why it's even there, and especially why it's the first car you see, then suddenly they realize it's powered by a 2x4 440, that it all looks factory, and they freak, start grabbing their friends, and all smiles, drag em over, going crazy, MAN! Ya gotta check this out.

There are a few other pretty nice Mopars in there, mostly older ones, a real nice 39 Dodge business coupe, running, driving, just needs cosmetics basically, asking $6K, and of course, the normal pile of Camaros, Mustangs, etc. I have the only b-body, and there's one e body.

I'll post more pics here once I get to work. Just getting ready now.

Yea, he didn't even have to take the hood off, just remove the grille and slide it in and drop it. He did have to cut the firewall and remake the tranny tunnel. I've watched it in progress this year, and it's a super clean installation, looks so stock you won't believe it. E body rear end, not narrowed or anything, just hang it in place.

Holy shoehorn job, it looks really clean from what I can see.
Someone should do a pro street Magnum wagon.

Here's the outside of the car, and few of the other cars there. For the ones that are for sale, I've put a price by them:

$6500

rebuilt engine & tranny, 12 v converted, rechromed bumpers, drive it off for $6k OBO

I bet the PT is fun to work on, as it is one of the hardest cars to work on with the stock engine, I know people who have spent many many hours (over days) to just replace the water pump or power steering pump.

In talking to him, I think it's even easier now... he says even the valve covers and plugs can be changed just by reaching in, and the pumps are all on the front, just reach down, the radiator is from a <koff koff> camaro, aluminum, and has a front electric fan, so there's all kinds of room in the front of the engine bay.

He took First, and got Outstanding Street Rod.

Hey Buck, get him to sign up to the forums, there's no one in the P/T Cruiser spot, at least his is cool.

I didn't ask, he bought the car new with the idea of big blocking it one day, drove it for almost 200K miles before it blew, then got his wife a new car and got started. He's had the block for years, and just guessing, I'd say somewhere in the neighborhood of about $6k for everything he's bought. Almost everything that's been done to it was by him, in his attached two car garage. He'd talked to me about bringing it down to paint it one day, but I think I talked him out of that, the paint isn't at all bad as it is. He's still considering doing a two tone job, but I think this weekend convinced him, don't mess with a good thing.
