Your chance

Okay folks , here goes. Your chance to get me back behind the wheel of a Mopar. I have owned some over the years & am considering another one. Here's the problem, before I can buy a Mopar, I've got to sell my FORD. Yes, I know this is a Mopar place, but if you're looking for something to drive for the winter & park your Mopar, here's your chance. It's an '01 cop car ( I think they call them Crown Victorias now, used to be LTDs, Galaxies before that ). I have it listed on Craig's List for $3,500.00. To the best of my knowledge, the only mechanical problem is the parking brake. Parts ( & I think it might not even need all of them ) were about $200.00 from a FORD place called y2kfordparts.com. Here's your chance to get it for $3,000.00. Reasons for the lowered price, 1) the parking brake & 2) if I sell it before 1 Jan., I don't have to pay tax on it next year ( the great state of Misery charges " personal property tax " on your vehicles every year ). This year it was just under $100.00. The body is rough, but solid. No rust through. Interior fair. Currently at 99, 9xx miles & will turn over soon as I plan on using it for a trip tomorrow & back Christmas. Have had a lot of work done over the last couple years. Trade is possible for a Mopar. If interested in your chance, E-mail me at 1maehyun@gmail.com. Also pictures on Photo Bucket under My Album, The Beast. Runs great, 2nd owner. Bought with 35,xxx miles on it in '03 or '04. Think '03, but not sure. Just created an album here with pictures.

I'll make it easy . I want a 2 door, running & drivable. 360 4Bbl. or big block, MUST be auto. ( can't push a clutch, long story ). Prefer buckets & floor shift. Sorry, no trucks ( already have one, that's enough ) or projects. If I sell this, I can buy a project. I like most Mopar body styles, tell / show me what you've got & we'll talk. Prefer to stay pre-75 ( no crapalytic converters ). I'm trying to be realistic, not asking someone to trade me a Hemi Cuda or Superbird / Daytona Charger ( although IF you wanna, .... ). Not even a SattillBird like I saw in the car show post. '60s are okay ( once had a '63 or '64 Fury, forget which, AAADD & CRS acting up again ).

Took it on a trip & combined running around here it pulled down 18.3 MPG. For a full size ( think Fury / Monaco ) 4 door V-8 rear wheel drive, I'm pretty happy. My F150 ( 10 years older & a truck, not a car, slightly less aerodynamic with only about 20 more cubic inches ) pulls 12 around here. Not sure curb weight on either vehicle, will have to go play " Google " & see what I can find.

Forgot to play " Google ", but did fill it up before letting my niece use it to run around here, 20.6 MPG on the return trip. I think that's very good for it. Will go play " Google " & see what I can find. Okay, didn't find The Beast, but in '06 it was 39xx lbs. & '07 was 4100. So, a 4,000 lb. vehicle pulling down 20 MPG sounds pretty good to me.

Took it on another trip up to Quincy, Ill. Too cold / low funds. Haven't filled it yet. Letting it sit & running Old Rusty. Worse mileage but more fuel to use. Trying not to add any more miles to The Beast before it finds a new home.

Here's something I'm thinking about. Would have to swap a V-8 in it if I bought it though. Have a new post started called Engine swap. Years ago, I owned one & even then thought about doing it. This is interesting & may find a new home here. Lot of things to work out first, including the engine swap. I know not a " muscle car ", but with a V-8, it should move pretty good.

Went & talked to the dealer yesterday, they don't want to give up on any difference ( kinda expected that ). Found an Eagle forum, some guy on there from Canada, ey? actually makes up kits to do that ( V-8 in an Eagle ). Had a nice talk, ey? yesterday. Sounds doable, now to find an Eagle, then an AMC 360, then order his kit. I know AMC is now Mopar, the only thing that survived was Jeep, but an AMC 360 isn't the same thing as a Mopar 360. Figure staying with the same brand will be best. The Beast after sitting here in this weather for about a week, ( -5° ) this morning, fired right up & ran nice & smooth yesterday. No problems.

Okay folks. I'm seriously thinking about the Eagle thing. Need The Beast to find a new home. Price reduced, contact me if interested. Park your Mopar for the winter & keep it out of this crud. Drive The Beast !!

Looks like I'm going to get an Eagle when I get my taxes back ( hopefully about 1 more week ). Will have to postpone the V-8, my niece wants to buy The Beast. She's going to trade me her truck & some down, then make payments. Will not have the needed funds for the V-8 & extra parts required. At least the Eagle is sort of a cousin to the Mopar family.

Looks like I'm going with the Eagle. Don't think putting a Mopar in would be the same as an AMC. Even though Mopar bought Rambler, the Eagle was before that so it's still AMC, not pure blooded Mopar.

Nice. Wasn't sure which one you meant. Thought Dodge made one, but then saw your Cordoba & decided my memory was trying to lie to me again. Looks nice.

UPDATE TO THIS LISTING

** SOLD **
My niece decided she liked The Beast, so she gave me her truck ^ some down. Supposed to start making payments this month. Was busy with it trying to sell it & then FINALLY got an Eagle ( long & interesting story ). Finally got rid of her truck ( ended up needing a head & injectors, wasn't putting that kind of money in it ). Eagle is at Tech School ( hopefully ) having an oil leak fixed. So i ended up getting what is a Mopar cousin I'd guess. Have been spending a lot of time on the Eagle site lately. Have some pictures, I'll put them up in your ride if that's okay ( not Mopar, cousin to one ).

** SOLD **
