1968 Blue Plymouth Sport Satellite Convertible 383
My recent purchase, soon to become a summer cruiser with plans for restification in a few years. The car is a nice 20 footer that will be recieving a suspension and brake upgrade over the winter.

Yeah its a 383 /727/3:23open. Don't know much about the motor yet. Seems like a stock 4 barrel motor, no cam. The oil pressure has me concerned a little.65lbs cold idle, 45lbs hot idle and 20lbs hot idle in gear. I'll probably put a pump in it while its in the shop. One of the advantages of the big block, external oil pump.

Do you think you don't need a higher pressure pump?

I will probably put in a high volume pump, I just got the car in Nov. and am still working the bugs out of it. The car sat awhile and was behind on maintanance. First oil change showed it hadn't been changed in a while and had been gas fouled due to hard start, ignition wiring screwed up at regulator/ballastresistor.I rewired all that and now it starts like it should.

Those pressures are actually not that bad. I know for a fact that 20PSI in an AMC 360 is really good. Like Matt said though, Before just replacing the pump, pull it and inspect it. Might just need to be rebuilt.
