1968 UU1 Dodge Dart 2dr Post
I started one of these for my Duster, so here is one for my Dart as well.
I picked up this 68 2dr post devoid of interior and /6 with a 440 on an engine stand. I trailered the car home, after loading it up without ramps. THAT was fun. Jacking up the front end till we could get jack stands fully extended under it. Then, backing the trailer up to the car, and lifting the back end with an engine hoist and backing the trailer the rest of the way up.
WHEW!
The floor pans are shot, at least on the passenger side. I figure, full floor pan, and a left rear quarter. The left front fender needs to have some holes filled on top, and the lower rear of it patched. Hopefully I can find a better fender, but this one is salvageable.
So, the plan is as follows.

So, the plan is as follows.
- 340/727/8.75 from my Duster
- new floor pans
- mount the Neon buckets
- custom center console
- new interior
- Thinking triple black. I LIKE that idea

Minus the front grill, the rest looks like my Valiant. Give http://www.autobodyspecialt.com/ a try for the body panels. Looks like it will be a great project.

Been too long since I worked on this car. She is up in the air, waiting on an 8.25 to be installed tomorrow. I am rather eager to get it done. I got Centerlines I want ton put on
In the background, you can see my busted '72 Dodge half ton
O...
Whoda thunk it that the catch for the tunk lid was so strong? I couldn't find my floor jack, and the bumper jack failed...so I had to use my Cherry Picker to lift the car up to put on the jack stands

Yup...this is the same one you looked at up in Everett that came with the 440, remember?
I am putting the Neon seats in it because they are more comfortable than stock seats, and I got them uber cheap. Seat covers can do wonders for them anyway LOL

Yep. I was going to build it into a race car. Low 11 sec car. Mini tubbed, race seats, cheetah shifter, 8pt cage, 8 3/4, 4:10s 29" slicks, yadda yadda.
Had too much rust for my liking though.. Good luck with the build

Late post...
Thought I did this already...
Got the rear end in, and am going to put it back up either this weekend or next to do the brakes. Next 5 day weekend ( if I am not in CA ) I'm going to swap the front end, and give it ALL new brakes. Then, suspension and brake wise it will be ready for the body shop.
Will post pix asap...
