My newto me 66 Polara 880 Convertible

Here's a quick spec on my Cdn 66 Polara 880 convertible I bought last weekend.

Got the 318A - Poly engine with the 3spd auto - tranny code is listed as the 727A in the last appraisal I just received.
Has 75,500 miles on the odometer

Looking forward to picking up some interesting info on these cars! And driving it too!:driving:

great for you. if i remember right 1966 was the last year for the 318 poly engine. and i think the mechanical lifters i think. so from time to time it needs the valves adjusted, i think. if it doesnt have the chrysler electronic ignition, look int to putting one on. this mod NEVER lowers the value. have fun.

Thanks for the tips!
It already has the electronic ignition change.
I wasn't aware of the solid lifters though.
This new/old technology is still very new to me.

Turns out I have a 727 tranny. I went by a description form an other member on the appearance of the body of the transmission.
It's definitely a 727.
