Figured i'd put up some pictures over the last little bit..

So one of my favorite pictures is this one: I got to go home for my birthday and went racing! I'm going to school in Sacramento still.

ME and my dad got to race each other 3 times that night. 2 time runs, then we dialed in later and of course, he schooled me up... he went .001 on me. We both made it to the final 8 cars though.

Yep, car is just a little old street driven mopar ;)

The 2nd to last picture, i won a race in Sacramento. My parents drove down and surprised me with my car. Drove 850 miles so i could run one race! Same day i also got to dyno my car at school, it put down right around 400 whp and 390 lbs tq.

I figured on more but can't be too sure till I can get it onto another dyno and see what happens from there.

Link to the dyno vid and one of the rounds of me beating up on a 14 sec Srt4...

Did you blow the trans on the burn out ? Also did you put a bolt in sprag in the replacement. Did you add a scatershield ?

blue 68 gts 12-30-2013 08:37 PM

Yes, I blew the trans in the burnout box at Mopars at the Strip in 2008.

Yes, I put a bolt in sprag when I built the new transmission. Along with other goodies. And i have ran a kevlar blanket since.

Very Nice Dart. One of my favourite cars. I've had 2 of them (both were 1969's).

Maybe we'll see you in August at Pacific Raceways.

Cheers

Peter

Thanks Peter.

What race are you running in August?

Can't believe its almost been 10 years since I got this thing...

chlngr1970 01-01-2014 10:18 PM

I've seen this car in person. Believe me, the pix don't do it justice. Nick did a fantastic job on this Dart.

Nearly 14 years later, still beating the crap out of this thing.

Also bought a new project car in the tail end of 2016. Should have it going by the spring time. It'll be a 327, Muncie 4 speed with 4.11 posi.

RacerHog 01-18-2018 08:03 PM

Good to hear the old Dart is still hanging in there !!!!!
The 1955 Chevy sounds like a fun project.... 327 c.i. with a 4-speed and 4.11.... Kind of sounds like your going to have fun with ether antique nationals or nostalgia racing?

Keep us posted on the fun... :)
